I. Contact Information

  1. I don’t know where and I can’t remember when, but I had read your name attached to one of your pieces of art. And then, in the silence of being strangers, we met this past Saturday at the Flint Art fair. You kindly shared some of your past with me as we spoke about Jung and Merton. I had asked if it as discouraging to have people say how beautiful your art is yet do not purchase anything. That seemed to be a portal for our brief conversation. If I may, I’d like to share two items from this Monday morning. To help me consume and incarnate the courage I need to put my writings out there, I have written a small note to myself: “You have one life.” That helps me out pen to paper. Then this morning as I read a piece from Sr. Joan Chittister I found more encouragement: “When we live from the inside out rather than the outside in, everything in life seems to fit.” This line in particular seems to provide an atmosphere, a cloud if you will in today’s techno terms, for the collage work you do. Further, that cloud is that mysty (spelling intentional) cloud of unknowing; that is not a cloud of what I don’t know, but a cloud, a spirit that invites me to let go of what I thought I knew and see again for the first time. It is a pleasure to have met you in person, to read a little of your story here, and to see & experience the poetry of your work.

    • Thank you! I appreciate your thoughts. I too enjoyed our conversation at the Flint Art Fair.
